Le parc National de Yellowstone a été créé en 1872. Il est le plus vieux et le plus grand des parcs nationaux des Etats-Unis. C'est un immense volcan en activité réduite, traversé par la Yellowstone River. L'eau qui s'engouffre dans les failles du volcan crée des geysers. Le soufre du volcan et les oxydes métalliques dissouds par l'eau bouillante se mélangent et se solidifient en surface en créant des couleurs fantastiques. Bien que je fasse parfois quelques photos en noir et blanc, je suis un coloriste avant tout. C'est pourquoi, avec Monument Valley et Bryce Canyon il est pour moi celui qui donne le plus de plaisir. Grâce à mon ami Jacky MARTIN, en août 1997, j'ai pu photographier ce chef d'oeuvre de Dieu ! Bon voyage et... bon rêve ! Roger JOURDAIN The Yellowstone National Park has been created in 1872. It is the oldest and biggest of the national parks of the United States. It is a huge volcano in reduced activity, crossed by the Yellowstone River. The water that engulfs itself in the failles of the volcano creates some geysers. Sulphur from the volcano and the metallic oxides dissolved by the boiling water mix themselves and solidify in surface while creating fantastic colors. Although I sometimes make some photographs in black and white, I am especially a colorist. It is why, with Monument Valley and Bryce Canyon it is for me the one that gives the more of enjoyment.
